MMA Analytic Director
Vice President – Analytics and Account Management
MMA Analytic Director Job Description
Position Summary
MMA is seeking to fill the position of Analytic Director for individuals with an entrepreneurial zeal and a passion for delivering world class analytic consulting solutions to Fortune 500 clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong consulting and quantitative skills, a background in marketing and customer strategy, excellent communication and presentation skills, business development experience, and an aptitude toward solving complex business problems. The candidate must have a proven track record working with high performing teams, including professional development of the team members. The role is client facing, requires an aptitude for business development, an ability to work in cross functional teams, willingness to be “hands on” with data and statistical analysis, and may involve frequent travel, depending on client requirements. An academic background in marketing, statistics, or economics is required, and masters degree preferred.
Responsibilities and Skills:
- Client engagement and project work
- Lead teams working directly with clients, insuring high performance results are delivered. Ability to manage all aspects of a client engagement.
- Ability to multi-task critical.
- Frequent participation in client meetings, onsite and in calls
- Inspire teams and as well as work directly on projects, including analysis, presentation preparation and onsite presentations
Ability to work independently to achieve project timelines and milestones - Translate complex statistics into client recommendations and action plans
- Demonstrated aptitude for business development with new and/or existing clients.
Technical Skills
- Data Handling
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a penchant for getting things done
- Understanding of marketing data sources and how they fit together
- Software
- Work with Microsoft projects to build presentations (Powerpoint), manipulate and analyze data (Excel), etc.
- Strong SAS programming skills
- Modeling
- Understanding of multivariate statistics, including regression based modeling, ANCOVA, descriptive statistical techniques, and Bayesian estimation
- Deep understanding of statistical diagnostics (significance test, model fit, etc)
- Firm understanding of variable transformations and their usefulness
- A creative analytical problem solver.
Team management
- Experience or demonstrated aptitude with oversight, coaching and development of teams and team members
- Ability to guide and motivate team members to accomplish professional and project goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics, Masters strongly preferred
- 5 - 10 years experience in a related field
- Strong analytic and quantitative skills, with a good sense of problem solving
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint; SAS; other languages a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
